A stainless steel European type wire rope thimble is a protective rigging component used to line the inside loop (or "eye") of a wire rope. It is manufactured specifically to meet European standards .
Its primary purpose is to keep the cable loop from crushing, fraying, or deforming under tension. It accomplishes this by guiding the cable into a natural, gradual curve.

European Standard Design: Compared to traditional domestic light-duty or heavy-duty US Type thimbles, European-type thimbles feature a specific geometry, width, and groove depth optimized for European rigging specifications. They generally offer a smooth, uniform channel that tightly hugs metric wire diameters.High-Grade Stainless Steel: Typically cast or stamped from AISI 304 or AISI 316 (Marine Grade) stainless steel.
