Mount Layout: Features a traditional 4-hole rectangular pattern with countersunk fastener paths. This configuration allows flat head (FH) fasteners to sit flush with the polished base flange to eliminate snags.
Practical Fabrication Advice
1,Back-Purge Your Tubing: While executing the TIG weld around the outer base collar, back-purge the internal rail tubing with Argon gas. This step stops structural oxidation ("sugaring") on the inner walls where moisture easily gathers.
2,Protect the Mirror Finish: Wrap premium heat-resistant welding tape or high-density leather shields around the pre-polished face of the base before striking your arc to avoid marring the surface finish with stray weld spatter.
