Step-by-Step Installation Basics
Thread the post: Drill a straight hole through your end post according to the manufacturer's recommended size (usually 1/4" or 5/16").
Measure and cut: Pull your cable taut to the end post, mark the entry depth of the swage barrel, and cut cleanly with a cable cutter.
Crimp the terminal: Insert the bare cable end into the hollow swage sleeve.
Use a hydraulic crimping tool to press the sleeve 2 to 3 times to lock the wire in place.
Tension the line: Feed the threaded stud through your post hole, slide on the washer, and tighten down the locknut until the line is perfectly stiff.
