Cable Railing Hardware Jaw Swage Terminal
Cable railing jaw swage terminal is a metal end fitting that connects wire rope to an anchor point using a clevis pin, securing via a swage (crimp) connection. Commonly made from marine-grade T316 stainless steel, it fits standard 1/8-inch or 3/16-inch wire diameters for indoor or outdoor decks and stairs.
Key Features and Uses
Material: Marine-grade T316 stainless steel prevents rust and weather damage.
Design: Includes a U-shaped jaw (clevis) with a removable pin to attach easily to eye bolts, tabs, or post anchors.
Compatibility: Works with 1/8" and 3/16" stainless steel cables (typically 1x19, 7x7, or 7x19 strand).

Installation Steps
Measure and Cut: Measure the distance between your end posts and cut the metal cable to size.
Swage the Fitting: Insert the bare wire end fully into the hollow tube of the terminal. Use a manual hand swager tool or hydraulic crimper to compress the metal tube tightly onto the cable.
Attach to Post: Remove the small pin from the jaw, place the jaw over your post's anchor tab or eye bolt, and slide the pin back through to lock it in place.
