How They Work

Unlike lag screws that thread directly into the face of a post, flat head terminals pass completely through a pre-drilled hole in the post.

Tensioning: They are usually installed at the "fixed" end of a cable run. The opposite end of the run requires a tensioner (like a receiver or turnbuckle) to pull the cable tight.

Aesthetics: The flat head rests flush against the outside wall of the end post, concealing the swaged connection inside the post or cable run.

Installation Steps

Drill Through-Holes: Drill a straight hole completely through your end terminal post.

Insert and Swage: Feed the raw cable into the hollow shank of the flat head terminal.

Secure it tightly using a hydraulic hand crimper tool.

Feed and Tension: Push the terminal through the back of the post so the flat head catches on the outside wall. Pull the cable across to the opposite post to tension the line.
