Solid-Sleeve Bimini Top Jaw Slide with Double Set Screws. The main advantage of this design is the integration of dual hex/allen set screws on the collar wall. These double set screws anchor directly into the stainless steel frame tubing, preventing the jaw slide from twisting, sliding, or migrating down the rail under heavy wind or high-speed cruising loads.
Core Maintenance & Setup Rules
Apply Anti-Seize: Always apply a drop of marine Tef-Gel or anti-seize lubricant to the main flathead bolt threads. Mixing stainless hardware can cause thread galling (cold welding).
Dimple the Tube: For maximum security against slippage, slide the jaw into place, lightly tighten the dual set screws to mark the frame, slide it back, and drill a tiny indentation (dimple) into the tubing for the set screws to seat into.
Check Set Screws Regularly: Engine vibrations can loosen small allen-head fasteners over time. Periodically check and snug them down before setting out on rough water.
