Key Features and Structural Benefits
Extended Clearance: The longer stem provides increased physical clearance under the handrail. This allows passengers to comfortably grip the rail even when wearing bulky offshore gloves, and prevents knuckles from scraping against the deck or cabin top.
Aero-Dynamic Stiffening: The elongated neck is wider at the base and tapers toward the socket, providing superior structural rigidity to handle the increased leverage forces applied to a taller rail.
Closed-End Design: As a front or rear (tail) bracket, the tube socket features a smooth, rounded, closed back to cap off the stainless steel tubing cleanly and block out moisture.
Inline 2-Hole Base: Features a narrow rectangular base with countersunk mounting holes positioned inline with the angle of the stem, maximizing mounting strength on narrow gunwales or tight surface edges.
Material: Investment-cast from 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel (SUS316) and mirror-polished to protect against pitting in highly corrosive saltwater environments.
Applications
Elevated bow rails or grab rails where extra height is legally or structurally required for passenger safety.
Mounting over raised deck hatches, canvas trim, or coaming lines where standard low-profile fittings would not clear the obstacles.
