Round Marine Flush Cam Latch with a Turning Lift Handle. This specific model features a distinctive red dot indicator built onto the faceplate to quickly show whether the latch mechanism underneath is fully locked or open.
Unlike automatic spring-loaded slam latches, this is a compression cam style latch. You fold the D-ring handle up, rotate it to swing the offset cam arm under the deck lip, and fold the handle flat to clamp the hatch lid tightly closed.
