Marine Flush Pull Slam Latch (often referred to as a push-to-close latch body with keeper). This hardware features a spring-loaded, recessed handle that stays perfectly flat inside a round faceplate to eliminate trip hazards on boat decks. The small metal tab shown next to the latch is the striker keeper (or catch plate). This piece mounts to the interior wall of your frame or cabinet door jamb, giving the spring-loaded latch bolt a secure point to grip when you slam the hatch shut.
Key Features & Design Layout
Push-to-Close Slam Action: The internal latch bolt features a sloped bevel. When you push your hatch or locker door closed, the bolt automatically retracts past the keeper and snaps back out to lock the panel in place.
Ergonomic Pull Handle: To open, you lift the center loop using your fingers to pull back the sliding latch bolt.
Saltwater Defense: Cast out of high-grade 316 marine stainless steel to prevent severe corrosion, rust, and pitting.
