Quick Rope Cam Cleat

  • Quick Rope Cam Cleat
product description

316 Marine-Grade Stainless Steel Cam Cleat, which represents a major step up in performance from the static clam cleat discussed previously. Instead of relying on a static groove, it uses a mechanical, spring-loaded dual-cam mechanism to lock and release ropes smoothly under tension.

How it Works & Performance Upgrades

Spring-Loaded Cams: The two ribbed semi-circular "wheels" (cams) rotate inward under spring pressure. When you drop a rope between them, the ribs pull the line tightly into the center.

Mechanical Self-Locking: Increased load or pull on the tensioned side forces the cams to pinch tighter. This handles high loads significantly better than a static V-cleat, preventing slipping.

Flawless Quick Release: To unlock, you simply pull the free end of the line slightly upward and flick it out sideways. The spring-loaded jaws part instantly, releasing the rope under zero friction without causing abrasion or rope wear.

Are you pairing this with an integrated leading ring / fairlead loop to guide the angle of the incoming rope?

What is the exact center-to-center hole distance you need for your existing mounting holes?

Are you planning to install this onto a deck, kayak rail, or specialized fitness equipment (like Pilates reformers)?
