A swageless deck toggle terminal is a surface-mounted, tool-free cable railing fitting designed to anchor stainless steel wire rope to a flat surface. Featuring an integrated articulation plate, it adjusts up to 135 degrees, making it the ideal fixed-end component for both flat deck runs and sloped stair railings.
These Deck Toggle Terminals should be paired with a turnbuckle or other tensioning hardware in order to insure proper cable tension for your deck railing.The terminals are made from T316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel for extreme durability.
Available for 1/8" and 3/16" cable sizes, this T316 marine-grade fitting features a compact 2.5-inch footprint and pre-drilled mounting holes spaced at 1-3/8 inches for surface mounting directly to wood, metal, or composite posts.
Hardware Function & Benefits
Non-Tensioning Fixed End: These fittings act as dead-ends or anchor terminals; they hold the wire in place but do not tighten it. You must pair them with a Swageless Turnbuckle Deck Toggle or lag tensioner on the opposite end of the run to pull the wire taut.
No Specialized Tools: The compression jaw or "push-to-lock" mechanism securely locks onto 1x19, 7x19, or 7x7 structural wire rope without requiring an expensive hydraulic crimper.
