A dome hex head invisible receiver swage stud is a specialized, modern hardware tensioning kit used in modern cable railing systems. Its head shape is different from the flat head. It is engineered to create a sleek, "invisible" architectural look by fully hiding the tensioning mechanism entirely inside the terminal end posts.
Key System Components: The hardware consists of two interlocking parts designed to connect and tension stainless steel wire ropes:The Swage Stud (Male End): A threaded terminal rod that is crimped (swaged) directly onto the stainless steel cable using a hydraulic crimping tool. The Invisible Receiver (Female End): A smooth, hollow sleeve that inserts through the outside of the post. It features an internal thread to grab the swage stud, and an integrated dome head with an internal hex socket (allen head) on the exposed end. The Tensioning Mechanism: To tighten the railing, you insert an Allen key into the exposed dome hex head and turn it. As the receiver rotates, it pulls the hidden threaded swage stud deeper into the post, tensioning the line without turning the cable itself.
