Wide Jaw Quick Link.
A wide jaw quick link is an elongated, reusable chain connector with a threaded nut. Featuring a wider opening than standard quick links, it accommodates thicker end fittings, ropes, and webbing. They are typically made from marine-grade 316 stainless steel or zinc-plated steel but are never rated for overhead lifting or human climbing.
Standard sizes range from 3.5mm to 12mm. A typical 5/16" (8mm) zinc-plated wide jaw link features an 11/16" opening and holds a working load limit of roughly 1,430 to 1,760 lbs. They are ideal for quick, semi-permanent repairs on low-carbon chains, boating rigging, and connecting sports or equine equipment.
