The DIN 1480 Turnbuckle is a German-standard open-body tensioning device used to adjust the tension and length of wire ropes, cables, and rods.
It consists of a central body with a right-hand thread on one end and a left-hand thread on the other. Rotating the body pulls the end fittings together or pushes them apart to adjust linear force.
