Key Features & Functionality
Retractable Mechanism: The main horn can be pulled upward to catch mooring ropes. When lines are removed, it slides back down into its recess tubes, keeping the deck completely flat and preventing stubbed toes or line snags.
Integrated Drainage Posts: The two large vertical cylindrical sleeves act as guidance tubes for the cleat legs. They often double as drainage pathways to redirect captured deck water under the gunwale rather than pooling inside the mechanism.
Dual Stud-Bolt Fixing: The outer threaded studs secure the base firmly to the fiberglass hull using washers and locking nuts, preventing the housing from rotating or shifting under extreme tension.
Marine Grade Build: For maximum defense against rust in corrosive environments, it is constructed from investment-cast 316 marine-grade stainless steel polished to a mirror finish.
