Purpose: Internal (insert) style. The ribbed lower barrel slides directly inside the opening of a hollow boat shade frame tube, leaving only the polished top eye visible. This marine hardware component slides and fits securely inside the ends of round tubing or pipes on boat frames. It allows the frame tubes to connect cleanly with jaw slides or deck hinges using a mounting bolt through the top hole.
Material: It is typically constructed from high-grade 316 Marine-Grade Stainless Steel to provide high corrosion resistance against harsh saltwater environments.
