A Machined Swage Fork Terminal (also known as a swage jaw or clevis fork terminal) is a high-strength rigging hardware component used to permanently anchor the end of a steel wire rope. It features a hollow cylindrical tube (swage shank) on one end to receive the cable, and a U-shaped fork (jaw) with a removable clevis pin on the other end to connect to anchor points, chain plates, or lugs. Machined from Solid Metal: Unlike standard terminals that are welded or forged, machined terminals are carved from a single solid bar of steel. This eliminates structural weld joints, which are common failure points, providing maximum tensile strength. Marine-Grade Materials: They are almost exclusively manufactured from 316 stainless steel (or 316L) to ensure maximum resistance against salt-water corrosion and harsh weather. Secure Clevis Pin: The fork connection relies on a heavy-duty clevis pin and a split ring (or cotter pin), making it easy to link to rigid structures while allowing pivot movement.
Machined Swage Fork is machined from AISI316 Stainless Steel solid bar. It has a clevis fork/Jaw head and a swage stud at the other end. The Jaw terminal is highly polished with a clevis pin. It’s stronger than the welded swage fork terminals. The swage terminals have maximum corrosion resistance and can be used in marine environments. Sizes from 3mm to 26mm.
