316 Marine-Grade Stainless Steel Flared Weld-On Fishing Rod Holder with a Coped Blade (Mounting Fin).
Unlike flush-mount styles that require drilling directly into the gunwale deck, this hardware is engineered for customization projects. Fabricators and boat builders utilize these specialized tubes to weld custom configurations directly onto aluminum or stainless steel structural components, such as tuna towers, T-tops, radar arches, cockpit railings, and leaning posts.
Anatomy & Fabrication Features
• Coped Mounting Blade: The pre-welded triangular support fin features a curved, semi-circular indentation on its mounting edge. This specialized coped edge is contoured to fit flush against round structural metal pipes (typically standard 1-inch or 1-1/4" OD boat tubing), ensuring clean alignment and maximum contact area for a structurally sound weld.
• Distinctively Flared Top Rim: The top edge features an outward trumpet-like flare (tulip style). This flared design allows for quick, effortless rod placement when working with active catches or rough sea states, acting as an easy guide to catch the rod butt.
• Protective Bushing Liner: The interior houses a snug, form-fitted UV-stabilized polymer sleeve. This internal protective barrier buffers the fishing pole blanks to absorb heavy traveling vibrations and protect premium cork or foam rod handles from rubbing against the steel edges.
• Cross-Gimbal Pin: The closed bottom segment incorporates a heavy-duty internal cross-pin. This locks into the slotted cross-butts of tournament-style offshore fishing rods, stabilizing your reels and keeping them oriented perfectly outward.

Are you fabricating a stainless steel structure where this component will be direct-welded, or do you need to check if your pipe diameter matches the 3/8" or 1/3" coped blade radius to ensure a flush fit before starting your weld?
