4-Way Cross Elbow Pipe Fitting Connector (also known as a side-outlet cross or 90-degree 4-way corner tee) joins four separate pipe sections into a single junction across multiple planes.
Depending on your project's needs, these connectors come in two distinct structural designs:
1. The 3D Corner Cross (Multi-Plane)This is the exact design shown in your original image. It is a 3-dimensional corner piece where three outlets create a standard 90-degree corner (X, Y, and Z axes), and a fourth vertical sleeve allows a pipe to pass straight through the center.
Best For: Building structural frames, safety railings, canopy corners, and yacht handrails.
Materials: Typically found in marine-grade 316 Stainless Steel.
2. The Flat Cross (Single-Plane)In this design, all four outlets sit completely flat on a single, 2-dimensional plane forming a perfect "+" shape.
Best For: Internal grid support, plumbing distribution networks, and central cross-bracing.
Materials: Available in industrial threaded metals (like the Cast 316 Stainless Steel NPT Cross) or standard plumbing PVC.
If you are currently sourcing parts for a specific build, feel free to share:
Are you looking for the slip-on style with tightening screws (structural) or threaded/weld-on style (fluid plumbing)?
What pipe material are you using (Stainless Steel, Carbon Iron, or PVC)?
What is the outer diameter (OD) or schedule size of your pipes?
