Heavy-Duty Anti-Rattle Marine Barrel Bolt Latch. It is a surface-mounted sliding lock commonly used to secure boat companionway doors, cabin windows, and utility deck hatches.Unlike standard residential hardware, this model is built with thick investment-cast marine alloys to withstand constant saltwater spray and prevent oxidation.
Specialized Design Features
Anti-Rattle Bushing System: Most premium versions of this latch include an internal plastic or rubber friction pad fitted inside the main slide housing. This dampens the loose metal-on-metal slack, ensuring the sliding pin stays silent when the boat hull is subjected to engine hums or heavy wave chop.
Dual-Option Alignment Base: The right-side mounting plate features a center-cut track with an integrated locking detent notch. Turning the small control handle vertically drops it into the slot, mechanically anchoring the barrel bolt so it cannot slide back open on its own during rough sea travel.
Symmetrical Flush Striker: The separate receiver plate (left) has a mirrored curved nose, allowing the entire set to be installed perfectly flush on wood cabinetry, fiberglass walls, or aluminum window frames.

What is the approximate overall length of your current latch (e.g., 60mm / 2.3 inches or 90mm–110mm / 3.7 to 4.3 inches)?
Are you screwing this into a flush flat door surface, or does the door panel sit slightly recessed behind the outer frame?
