Heavy Duty Marine-Grade Stud-Mount Concealed Hinge. It is specially built to hold up heavy boat hatches, deck lockers, and cabin doors.
Why Use a Concealed Fastener Hinge?
A normal hinge has screw holes on top. This marine hinge is completely different because the mounting parts are hidden underneath. It offers unique benefits for a boat:
No Tripping: The top of the hinge is perfectly smooth. Walking barefoot on deck is much safer because there are no screw heads to stub your toes on.
Stays Clean: Dirt, salt water, and fish scales will not get trapped inside open screw holes.
Hard to Steal: Since the bolts are locked underneath the hatch, someone cannot simply walk up with a screwdriver and remove your locker lid from the outside.
Materials and Design
316 Stainless Steel: This is the highest standard metal for ocean use. It protects the hinge from rusting or pitting when exposed to harsh saltwater and hot sun.
Integrated Studs: The four threaded legs on the bottom are cast right into the metal. To install it, you drill matching holes through your hatch frame, drop the studs in, and tighten them down with nuts from underneath.
