  • Skene Boat Bow Chocks
product description

Skene bow chocks are asymmetrical marine deck fittings sold in port and starboard pairs. They guide dock and anchor lines over a boat's bow or gunwale, using angled horns that prevent the rope from popping out under load while reducing friction and chafing.

Skene boat bow chocks are asymmetrical marine fittings used to guide mooring and dock lines over the bow or gunwale while preventing line chafing. Unlike symmetrical chocks, Skene chocks feature jaws with angled horns designed to keep the line seated under load, significantly reducing the risk of it popping out due to boat motion. They are typically sold as a "handed" pair, including one port (left) and one starboard (right) chock to ensure balanced setup and proper line orientation on both sides of the vessel.
